Allied Hydromulch Acquired by Greg Bruns in Ownership Transition

Alvin, TX – May 10, 2024 — Allied Hydromulch, a long-standing provider of erosion control and hydroseeding services in Southeast Texas, has been acquired by Greg Bruns, an emerging entrepreneur transitioning from a successful corporate career to business ownership.

Founded in April 1990 by John Hughes, Allied Hydromulch built a solid reputation over three decades of service. While the company faced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic and related supply chain disruptions, it demonstrated strong resilience and returned to form, ultimately positioning itself for a successful sale.

John Hughes made the decision to sell in order to retire and spend more time with his wife and grandchildren. The buyer, Greg Bruns, saw Allied Hydromulch as an ideal opportunity to begin building long-term wealth for his family through entrepreneurship.

Jacob Davis of Capstone Consulting served as the exclusive advisor to Mr. Hughes throughout the transaction.
