Immediate Sale - Full Service

Once the business valuation is complete and we have determined to officially put your business on the market, the process is as follows:

1. Prepare the Marketing Package (2 weeks)

2. Present to market and filter through buyers (3-6 months)

3. Negotiate and accept an offer (1 month)

4. Complete buyer’s due diligence (2-3 months)

5. Complete legal and Closing (1 month)

Depending on various factors, the process typically takes 9-12 months to complete.

Immediate Sale - Facilitation

Our Facilitation Service is designed for situations where you already have one or more interested buyers.

In this role, we represent you with the primary goal of facilitating a successful transaction with the prospective buyer(s) you’ve identified.

Most prospective buyers come in the form of top level employees, local competition, family & friends, or industry buyers who have reached out to you.

This service is offered at a significantly reduced fee, and the transaction timeline is generally expedited, often taking approximately half the time of the standard process.

Strategic Preparation - ValuePath

Our ValuePath service is perfect for the entrepreneur that wants to leverage the next 2-3 years to maximize their business value for an eventual sale.

We utilize our affiliated company, Brazos Bookkeeping, to strategically integrate accounting and business valuation guidance to grow and sell your business.

Expert accounting oversight
Offers the availability and cost-effectiveness typically not found with a CPA. We prepare your books for a future sale, whether that’s overseeing month-end closes or if you need the full gamut of bookkeeping services.

Quarterly Valuation Guidance

Jacob received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration degree from Sam Houston State University. He lives in College Station, TX with his wife and five kids, and volunteers his time at Central Church.

If you’re sincere about the selling process, you need a valuation that is strong enough to withstand the rigors of the selling process, yet not so overblown as to waste unnecessary resources.

Our valuations are not the cheapest, but they’re not the most expensive either.

The cost of a quality business valuation varies from $5,000 to $25,000.

How long does it take?

A business valuation typically takes 4-6 weeks to complete, depending upon how quickly we receive all requested information.

Why not have my CPA do it?

A CPA’s work usually focuses on areas other than preparing a business for sale. They don’t have a strong sense of the current buyer’s market. Additionally, CPAs typically skip over some of the smaller but important adjustments to earnings. As a result, their valuations many times do not reflect the true market value of the business.

What’s the first step in selling my business?
